The music of “La fin des Temples” was written by James Mac Gaw in 2004, then member of Magma & One Shot. This long track (over 30 minutes) was composed as an homage to Christian Vander and the music of Magma.

MAGMA s'est autoproclamé comme étant le meilleur groupe de l'univers mais ce titre n'est pas usurpé car il ne fait justement qu'un avec l'univers, il appartient à toutes et tous. Christian Vander pousse cette logique jusqu'au bout dans Kãrtëhl, album dans lequel il n'est plus le seul compositeur — une première depuis Üdü Wüdü ! Il ne s'agit pas d'une grande épopée mais de chansons qui fonctionnent indépendamment, qui peuvent ainsi évoluer en très peu de temps. C'est lumineux, chaud et intense !

all of it good: the whimsy, the drama, the wild, the cosmic; deftly dancing the line between order and chaos, between the sublime and the vile, between the fathomable and the ineffable. puts the listener in a liminal limbo you don't get to be in (and still enjoy!) often.

Wow it's been a loooong time since I've been this excited about a prog album. PoiL and Ni are great bands in their own rights, but this project is so much more than the sum of its parts. I've not heard anything else quite like it, it's never boring. If I didn't know better I'd think these dudes are all actual wizards, especially with that band photo. 11/10 strongly recommended.
